Naukuchiatal lake is situated at 4,000 ft above sea level, its 175 feet deep and is surrounded by hills covered in trees and shrubs. Length of Naukuchiatal lake is 983 m, breadth is 693 m. Naukuchiatal or the lake of "nine corners" is a small picturesque lake village in Kumaon division, dist. Nainital, Uttarakhand, India and is a destination for those who seek quietude and tranquility beneath the shade of pure nature.
Legend attached to this hilly village is that one glimpse of all nine corners of Naukuchiatal lake with both feet on the earth can make the viewer disappear into smoke to achieve nirvana.

Naukuchiatal is an all-year destination but the weather is the best between March and June.
HOW TO REACH NAUKUCHIATAL
Nainital is connected to National Highway No. 87. Regular buses run from Delhi, Agra, Dehradun, Haridwar, Lucknow, Kanpur & Bareilly. Beside this luxury coaches/TAXI are also available for this place.
By Air
Pantnagar is the nearest airport, 62km away from Naukuchiatal. The nearest convenient airport to travel to Naukuchiatal is the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi. If travelling by flight, arrive at Delhi Airport and opt for a taxi or overnight bus to reach Nainital.
Alternatively, travel to Pantnagar airport by flight from Delhi Airport. Hire a taxi or bus from Pantnagar to Naukuchiatal.
By Road
From New Delhi, 300 kms road route can be covered by Bus/Car. You can take a bus from ISBT and cover this journey in 7 hours approx.
Naukuchiatal is 26 Kms from Nainital and 4 Kms from Bhimtal AND 32 Kms from Haldwani.
By Train
Nearest railway station is Kathgodam, which is at a distance of around 27 km from Naukuchiatal. Haldwani & Kathgodam are adjacent to each other.
Ranikhet Express runs from New Delhi & Kathgodam. After reaching there you can take a bus/ Taxi to reach Naukuchiatal. Other nearby stations are Lal Kuan and Ramnagar.

NAUKUCHIATAL LAKE

HANUMAN TEMPLE
Hanuman Temple (Hanuman Mandir Bhakti Dham) also known as the Vaishno Devi Mandir, is situated in the midst of thick green oak trees and in Naukuchiatal. This temple is located in close proximity of the Bhimtal lake and houses a majestic 52 feet long statue of Lord Hanuman.
The entire Temple complex is surrounded by artificial caves which have been designed on the terms of famous Vaishno Devi Shrine. The temple houses Vaishno Devi temple, Shani Mandir, Ram Darbar temple.

JUNGLIAGAON
