KASAR DEVI

 

  • Highs of Kasar Devi, Where Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens, Timothy Learyand Swami Vivekananda visited.
  • It derives its name from the local deity Kasar Devi,it is said that temple of KasarDevi has structures dating to 2nd century. 
  • Known for Crank's Ridge,home to pine & Deodar trees  and an enormous geomagnetic field.

BINSAR

 

  • Once ,the "summer capital" ,is the land of enchanting meadows, orchids, mumbling streams and hills. 
  • The name Binsar has been derived from the words 'bin-sar' which literally suggests without a head.
  • Binsar is having a beautiful forest reserve and bird sanctuary which boasts of a rich variety of flora and fauna.

MUNSIYARI

 

  • Munsiyari means a 'place with snow'.
  • It is a base for three glaciers namely Namik, Milam and Ralam and the stunning backdrop of Panchachuli..
  • Munsiyari also falls on the ancient salt route from Tibet and is at the entrance of the Johar Valley, which extends along the path of the Goriganga River to its source at the Milam Glacier
