Pantnagar is the nearest airport, Air India operates flights from Delhi 3 to 4 days a week .
The nearest railway station is Kathgodam, Uttarakhand, from here it is situated at around 140 km. Haldwani & Kathgodam are adjacent to each other, Haldwani is like the entrance door to Kumaun and Haldwani/Kathgodam are well connected by trains from Delhi (Shatabdi runs daily) , Lucknow, Dehradun, Jaipur, Howrah (Kolkata).
Buses ,Hired & share Taxis to Kausani are easily available from Haldwani, Almora, Nainital, Ranikhet, Bageshwar. Bus timings(tentative) are mentioned above.

Anashakti Ashram: Also known as Gandhi Ashram, it’s a well know place for peace seekers, in the heart of town where Mahatma Gandhi stayed in 1929 for 2 weeks. Gandhiji had come here for a few days but fell in love with this place and stayed for full two weeks and he called this place as Switzerland of India. It was while staying at this Ashram that Gandhiji wrote his commentary on Bhagwad Gita called Anasakti Yoga.
There is a museum in the Ashram where photographs and things of Mahatma Gandhi are preserved .

Baijnath Temple -These temples can be assigned to 9th to 12th century AD. and was build by Katyuri rulers.
Rudradhari waterfall & cave- The terrain is mountainous ,sights and sounds en-route to the waterfalls are one to behold .It's located approximately 10 Kms from Kausani and to get to the waterfall you have to trek approx for 30 mins.You can enjoy nature in a serene fashion as it's not crowded & not at all commercialized . The temple in the cave is supposedly 2000 years old. Local boys work as guide and are helpful in guiding the path. Remember to keep water bottle and snacks as you will not find anything en route.
Tea estate- Kausani is also famous for its several tea gardens and pear orchards. Girias Uttaranchal tea is grown here in hectares. The place also arranges for a short tour to show their manufacturing process.
